Volunteer

Every month, iPrevail volunteers serve dinner through Hungry Saturday and show up for dinners and outings at 5 foster group homes in Central Florida. Most of the people doing this work are unpaid, and many of them have walked through their own hard seasons.

What You’ll Do

Volunteers do not sit behind a desk. Every task below happens in person, alongside the people we serve.

  • Hungry Saturday: serve a meal to people experiencing homelessness, once a month.
  • Foster group home dinners and outings: share a meal or an afternoon with kids at one of 5 group homes.
  • Angel Tree wishlist drives: shop for and deliver the specific gift a foster kid asked for.
  • Clothing and food drives: collect, sort, and hand out donated goods to families who need them.

Why We Show Up

Jesus fed the hungry and sat with people other crowds walked past. That is the model we follow, not a slogan on a wall. Everyone we serve is welcome regardless of faith, background, or belief. Everyone who wants to serve is welcome too.

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.” Proverbs 19:17
