Board & Founders
In 2013, Todd Marinshaw, Tina Marinshaw, and Dara Hibben turned a response to Typhoon Haiyan into a nonprofit foundation. All three still serve on the board today, unpaid, alongside every other volunteer at iPrevail.
Todd Marinshaw, Co-Founder
Todd grew up in Southern California and completed the Special Forces underwater program to become a second-class diver. During his fourth year of service, a car hit him while he was riding his bike and shattered his knee. A doctor told him he might never walk again. He rebuilt his life with the help of friends who pointed him back to God, later built a career in business-to-business sales, met Tina, and started a company with her that grew operations in both the US and the Philippines.
Through life experience and having met my share of young athletes in our nation I have seen first hand the power of team work, resiliency and a never say die attitude. I saw that if people find the inspiration from within themselves to rise above, the human spirit can conquer almost anything.

Tina Marinshaw, Co-Founder and Program Director
Tina grew up in one of Manila’s toughest neighborhoods, one of five children her parents raised on minimum wage. She earned a degree in Business Administration and built a career in brand management at McDonald’s Corp and Levi’s. She met Todd in 2000 and married him in 2002. Together they opened a factory in the Philippines with her siblings, several of whom now run their own successful businesses. In 2009, the family took part in relief operations after Typhoon Ondoy, an experience Tina credits with opening her heart to disaster survivors years before Haiyan.
Being on the ground opened my heart to victims of calamities and natural disaster. I want to see these families not only get food and water and much needed relief, but I also want to see them get back up on their feet and turn adversity into triumph.

Dara Hibben, Co-Founder, Fundraising and Development
Dara was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States at age 7. She holds two Associate’s Degrees and a Bachelor’s Degree, and has spent the past decade working as a Litigation Technology Coordinator at a law firm. Alongside iPrevail, she volunteers with the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Boyz II Men House, and has sent care packages to US service members overseas.
iPrevail’s mission is not just to “provide the fish,” but to teach people “how to fish” so that they will be able to eat for a lifetime.

Join the Volunteers Who Carry This Forward
The founders still show up to pack birthday boxes and serve monthly meals alongside every other volunteer. There is a place for you too.
