On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, Oviedo welcomed the historic Delmonico‘s restaurant at a spectacular grand opening event. Delmonico‘s is an Italian-inspired steakhouse with an unforgettable, electric atmosphere and locations throughout New York and Florida. The restaurant serves up an authentic Italian dining experience, with Sinatra playing in the background, fun caricatures on the wall, and the smell of delicious steak grilling.
As a gesture of tremendous generosity, Delmonico‘s extended an offer to local charities for an opportunity to benefit from the grand opening event. iPrevail International Foundation was incredibly honored to be selected by Delmonico‘s as the beneficiary for this event. iPrevail equips a growing group of volunteers to impact on the lives of those in need in our community. Here in Central Florida, iPrevail partners with families who adopt and homes that foster by funding and creating activities that provide mentoring, life skills, and connection.
On Tuesday, Delmonico‘s served over five hundred delighted Oviedo residents an exquisite array of culinary delights, including prime rib, lobster, and an unending supply of the world’s finest wines for an incredibly reasonable cover charge. The event was hosted by a hilarious Joan Rivers impersonator and everyone had an outstanding time. But the most exciting part of the entire event was that over $14,000 was raised, which Delmonico‘s selflessly donated to iPrevail to benefit local foster group homes.
Attendees could not stop raving about the event. Orlando resident Lisa Dreasher said “It was an amazing evening. They worked so hard to make it happen!” Oviedo’s Jean Green said it was the “the best dinner party in our history. Perfect night. You’ve got to go eat at Delmonico’s soon! I have reservations for Christmas Eve.” Becki O'Brien added, “I told everyone about it at work today and now they all want to go too.” Mayor Dominic Persampiere wrote “kudos to you and your organization as well as the great folks at Delmonico’s.” Betsy Jewell thanked everyone for their hard work and raved “Tonight’s event at Delmonico’s was fantastic. So well organized, beautiful venue, excellent service, delicious food and a super nice group of people. It was such a pleasure to see a business give back to our community and to meet so many kind people in Oviedo.”
As a result of their generosity, iPrevail will have funds to build mentoring and enrichment activities for local foster children in Oviedo, Winter Garden and several other Central Florida locations.
